Martin Hibbert is incredibly lucky to be alive. He was the closest person to the Manchester Arena bomber and survived. His injuries were “like being shot 22 times at point blank range,” leaving him paralysed for life.
However, thanks to a radical new therapy progamme, Martin has feeling back in his lower legs and abdomen and is moving independently. The 41-year-old, whose body was left riddled with nails and bolts from the terrorist blast that killed 22 people at the Ariana Grande gig in May 2017, is now determined to walk again.
